As the Managing Director, Justin has been with World Sport & Academic Services (WSAS) since its establishment and has been leading the team with immense passion and commitment.

 

He is a proud family man with two sons and highly values the significance of a world-class international education.

 

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, under Justin's leadership, WSAS has seen a continuous growth in both its size and business development.

Kathryn has been a valued member of the WSAS team for 12 years and takes great joy in supporting students as they work towards their academic aspirations.

 

She is deeply dedicated to youth development and brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role. Kathryn has played a key role in the creation of marketing materials and the development of the WSAS website & Client Management System App.

Nina is a proud alumna of the WSAS International Scholarship Program, where she received a soccer scholarship to study in the United States.

 

She earned two degrees in teaching and education, and even gained experience as a teacher and coach before returning to South Africa.

 

Now, as our SAT Development tutor, Nina is responsible for overseeing and delivering our SAT Development Courses.

Emma Stewart brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as the Career Pathway Navigator for WSAS. As a qualified educational psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, Emma has dedicated her career to guiding students through critical academic and career decisions. She specializes in career assessments, psycho-educational evaluations, and personalized career guidance, equipping students with the tools they need to achieve their dreams.

Emma’s extensive teaching background, spanning both private and public schools, combined with her counseling expertise, ensures she understands the unique challenges faced by students at every stage of their journey. With a passion for empowering young minds, Emma is committed to helping each student uncover their potential and align their ambitions with achievable pathways.

​

Beyond her professional achievements, Emma’s interests in reading, photography, and writing reflect her creative approach to problem-solving and her deep connection with learning. WSAS is thrilled to have Emma leading the Career Pathway Navigator program, where her dedication will continue to inspire and support students in realizing their academic and career aspirations.

Diina Shituula is a seasoned professional with a global footprint in project management, infrastructure development and education. Holding an Executive MBA from Henley Business School, Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS) and PMP® certification, Diina brings strategic insight and operational excellence to her role as Business Development Manager for WSAS in Namibia.

​

Her career spans over 20 years across Namibia, South Africa, Germany, and the UAE, where she has led high-value projects in construction, property development and facilities management.

​

Diina has held senior roles at various organizations spanning over multiple industries, overseeing multimillion-dollar infrastructure and property portfolios to mention a few. She also served as a curriculum developer and lecturer through a partnership with an international University, showcasing her commitment to education and capacity building.

​

In addition to her corporate and academic achievements, Diina has been deeply involved in football development across Southern Africa. She served on the FIFA Normalization Committee for Namibia and is currently an infrastructure consultant for CAF, contributing to school and stadium projects across the continent. Her technical expertise and passion for sports have positioned her as a trusted advisor in football infrastructure and tournament support, including work with COSAFA.

​

This unique blend of academic, professional, and sports leadership enables Diina to champion WSAS’s mission of connecting Namibian students with life-changing academic, cultural and sports scholarships. Her deep understanding of sports development and international networks makes her especially effective in identifying and supporting talented athletes seeking global opportunities.

Mirriam recently joined the WSAS team, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in administration and business development, and a deep passion for working with young people. Although she holds a BCom in Business Management (Marketing), her most rewarding professional shift came eight years ago when she began working directly with students. It felt instantly like home and confirmed that this was her true calling.

​

Her passion for education runs in the family—her late father was an educator for over 50 years and inspired her to pursue work that makes a lasting impact. Since then, Mirriam has dedicated herself to guiding students, supporting parents, and collaborating with educators to help students reach their full potential.

​

Known for her warm communication style, Mirriam places great importance on truly listening to students and building strong, lasting relationships. Many of her former students still stay in touch long after graduating, a testament to the trust and connection she fosters.

​

Now at WSAS, Mirriam is excited to continue shaping young lives and upholding the organisation’s commitment to excellence in international education and scholarship placement.

Susanna is a trained Psychometrist and experienced Assessor with a diverse professional background spanning psychometric assessment, education, recruitment, youth development, and human potential development.

​

She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and an Honours Degree in Sociology from North-West University. With experience in both remedial and mainstream education, she has worked with learners with a wide range of developmental and learning needs. Her expertise also includes diversity training, conflict resolution, and trauma and bereavement support.

​

Passionate about helping young people discover their strengths and unlock their potential, Susanna takes a compassionate, solution-focused approach to supporting individuals as they navigate challenges, explore opportunities, and work towards their goals. She is committed to making a meaningful difference by helping young people build confidence, recognise their abilities, and take positive steps towards their future.

 

Outside of work, Susanna enjoys crafting, hiking, and spending time with her family and dogs at the beach.

Originally from Durban, Amy has called Johannesburg home for the past 17 years. She holds a Higher Diploma in Marketing from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing and brings over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, account management, and administration across a variety of industries.

​

Amy’s diverse career has included roles in retail, the music industry, IT, and education. One of her most rewarding experiences was working as an Admissions, Marketing and Events Officer at a private school, where she built meaningful relationships with families and helped guide them through the important process of choosing the right educational environment for their children. This experience strengthened her passion for communication, relationship-building, and providing personalised support.

​

At WSAS, Amy is excited to help families understand the opportunities available through international scholarships and guide them as they navigate the process of exploring educational pathways for their children. She believes in the importance of clear communication, a personal approach, and empowering families with the information and support they need to make informed decisions about their children’s futures.

 

As a mother of two sporty boys, Amy understands the dedication, encouragement, and support young people need to pursue their passions. Much of her free time is spent cheering from the sidelines at cricket, soccer, hockey, and athletics events. Outside of family life, she enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and baking.

Mercy is a dynamic multi-sector professional with extensive experience across fleet management and logistics, mining and engineering, tourism and hospitality, and the non-governmental sector. Her diverse career has equipped her with strong operational insight and strategic leadership skills across both corporate and community-focused environments in Botswana and South Africa.

​

She has successfully led stakeholder engagement initiatives, sponsorship strategy development, and high-impact event execution to support both public and corporate partners. Mercy has managed large-scale corporate events, charity golf days, and fundraising campaigns aligned with enterprise development and corporate social investment (CSI) objectives. Through her hands-on leadership in fundraising and event planning, she has helped raise over R3 million in support of education and community upliftment initiatives.

​

Mercy is also a certified ILO and SURE Trainer of Trainers, having facilitated resilience and enterprise development training for more than 150 SMEs in South Africa’s tourism and hospitality sector. This work reflects her strong commitment to skills development, sustainable enterprise growth, and economic empowerment.

​

She is currently an interim EMBA candidate at the Fox School of Business at Temple University and holds a BBA in Human Resource Administration from the same institution. Her academic background complements her practical experience, enabling her to combine strategic thinking with people-centered leadership.

​

Beyond her professional pursuits, Mercy is a passionate global traveler who has explored 29 countries and counting. She is also an avid swimmer, enjoys playing squash and golf, and embraces outdoor adventures through hiking.

Alistair is a relationship-driven leader with experience in business development, digital marketing, and operational leadership across SaaS, retail, cleantech, and manufacturing. Throughout his career, he has focused on building authentic partnerships, driving business growth, and creating long-term value through innovation, strategic thinking, and strong relationships.

Passionate about the role sport can play in shaping young people's futures, Alistair believes that athletic ability can open doors to education, personal development, and international opportunities. Through his work with WSAS, he is committed to helping talented learners explore pathways to overseas universities and understand the opportunities available through academic and athletic scholarships.

​

Alistair supports students and their families as they navigate the international study process, including key requirements such as SATs, IELTS, and scholarship applications. He recognises the importance of clear guidance and support in making what can be a complex journey feel more manageable, empowering families to make informed decisions about their children's futures.

​

Driven by the belief that every student should be encouraged to reach their potential, Alistair aims to help young people turn their aspirations into practical plans. By combining his professional experience with his passion for sport and education, he hopes to inspire students to embrace opportunities, develop their potential, and build a future that extends beyond borders.

Chrizaan Muller was born in Johannesburg and now resides in Bethlehem in the Free State. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Senior and Further Education and Training Teaching from North-West University, where she graduated with distinction and was recognised as a Golden Key member for academic excellence.

​

Chrizaan began her teaching career at Truida Kestell Primary School, where she taught Art to Grade 4–7 learners and actively contributed to sports, cultural activities, and learner development. Her passion for creativity and education led her to establish her own art studio,

 

CreativeMinds, where she teaches art to both children and adults using a variety of artistic mediums and step-by-step techniques.

​

In addition to her work in the arts, Chrizaan is a certified NBI Practitioner and assists learners through BrainBeat teaching strategies in Bethlehem. Through this work, she helps students discover more effective ways of learning, studying, and building confidence in their academic abilities.

​

Chrizaan is passionate about working with people, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive difference in the lives of young learners. Her warm personality, creative mindset, and dedication to education make her a valuable member of the WSAS team.
